From Ibadan to Snowflakes by Olajumoke Bademosi, showing Amina between green hills and a snowy city

One girl. Two homes. A world of belonging.

Amina loves life in Ibadan, Nigeria, with Nana’s stories, ten-ten with friends, and the feeling of being at home. When she moves to America to reunite with her parents, a new school, unfamiliar weather, and different ways of speaking challenge her sense of belonging. From Ibadan to Snowflakes follows her journey as she discovers she can embrace a new home while carrying Nigeria in her heart.

A story for families sharing conversations about moving, identity, and finding your place.

“Children experience culture shock too. We often assume they will adjust easily after a move, overlooking how deeply change affects them. From Ibadan to Snowflakes is a thoughtful reminder to recognize their feelings and support them as they find their place in a new environment.”
